The Victron MultiPlus-II 12V 4k 160-50 2x120V is a 12V inverter/charger built for 120/240V split-phase or 120V single-phase AC systems. It features 3,400W of continuous output power, a 160A battery charger, a 50A transfer switch, and PowerAssist technology.
PROGRAMMING INFORMATION:
- For COMPLETE system programming (remote), we will program ALL of your Victron components for $99.
- This will be a remote service we handle once your system is installed.
- Cerbo GX or Ekrano GX is required to be installed for this option.
- Choose your battery bank manufacturer below to have the inverter programmed for you for an additional $99.
- For self-programming, choose Self-Programmed to add the Victron Interface MK3-USB-C programming dongle for an additional $59.50.
- For unprogrammed inverters, choose unprogrammed.

Description
The Victron MultiPlus-II 12V 4k 160-50 2x120V is a powerful inverter/charger designed for 12V electrical systems that need 120/240V split-phase shore or generator compatibility. It combines a true sine wave inverter, a 160A adaptive battery charger, a 50A transfer switch, PowerAssist technology, and Victron system integration in one unit.
This 12V 4k 160-50 2x120V model accepts either 120/240V split-phase AC input or 120V single-phase AC input. When connected to split-phase shore or generator power, the MultiPlus-II passes the incoming AC source through to the output. When external AC power is unavailable, the inverter supplies 120V power to loads on both L1 and L2. 240V loads are only powered when a 120/240V split-phase AC source is connected.
Note: Victron recommends a battery bank capacity of 400–1200Ah for the 12/4k/160 model.

PowerAssist
The MultiPlus will prevent overload of a limited AC source, such as a generator or shore power connection. First, battery charging will automatically be reduced when otherwise an overload would occur. The second level will boost the output of a generator or shore side supply with power taken from the battery.
Remote Monitoring and Control
When coupled with a GX device (e.g. Cerbo GX) you can monitor and control your Multi and system or systems’ locally (LAN) or remotely via the internet from anywhere in the world, using the VRM app and VRM portal website. Uninterrupted AC Power
In the event of a grid failure, or when shore or generator power is disconnected, the inverter within the Multi is automatically activated and takes over the supply to the connected loads. This happens so fast (less than 20 milliseconds) that computers and other electronic equipment will continue to operate without disruption.
