The Victron MultiPlus-II 12/4k/160-50 is a 12V inverter/charger featuring 3,400W of continuous output power, a 160A battery charger, and a 50A transfer switch. PowerAssist technology can supplement shore or generator power with battery power when additional capacity is needed.

PROGRAMMING INFORMATION:

  • For COMPLETE system programming (remote), we will program ALL of your Victron components for $99.
    • This will be a remote service we handle once your system is installed.
    • Cerbo GX or Ekrano GX is required to be installed for this option.
  • Choose your battery bank manufacturer below to have the inverter programmed for you for an additional $99. 
  • For self-programming, choose Self-Programmed to add the Victron Interface MK3-USB-C programming dongle for an additional $59.50.
  • For unprogrammed inverters, choose unprogrammed.

Please allow an additional 3-5 business days for programmed inverter processing.

Description

The Victron MultiPlus-II is a powerful 12V inverter/charger that combines a true sine wave inverter, adaptive battery charging, PowerControl, and PowerAssist technology into one unit. With 3,400W of continuous output power at 77°F, a 6,000W peak output, a 160A battery charger, and a 50A transfer switch, the MultiPlus-II 12/4k/160-50 is designed for high-powered 12V electrical systems.

PowerAssist allows the MultiPlus-II to supplement shore or generator power with energy from the battery when demand exceeds the available AC supply. When loads decrease, available power can then be used to recharge the battery.

The MultiPlus-II also provides uninterrupted AC power to connected loads. If shore or generator power is disconnected, the inverter takes over in less than 20 milliseconds, allowing connected electronic equipment to continue operating without disruption.

When paired with a compatible GX device such as a Cerbo GX or Ekrano GX, the system can be remotely monitored and configured through Victron’s VRM platform.

PowerAssist

The MultiPlus will prevent overload of a limited AC source, such as a generator or shore power connection. First, battery charging will automatically be reduced when otherwise an overload would occur. The second level will boost the output of a generator or shore side supply with power taken from the battery.

Remote Monitoring and Control

When coupled with a GX device (e.g. Cerbo GX) you can monitor and control your Multi and system or systems’ locally (LAN) or remotely via the internet from anywhere in the world, using the VRM app and VRM portal website. Access can be from a phone, tablet, laptop or PC for multiple operating systems. There is no end to the level of control, from adjusting your Multi to auto starting a backup generator and more…

Uninterrupted AC Power

In the event of a grid failure, or when shore or generator power is disconnected, the inverter within the Multi is automatically activated and takes over the supply to the connected loads. This happens so fast (less than 20 milliseconds) that computers and other electronic equipment will continue to operate without disruption.
