Why Us
We don't just install electrical systems – we design them, build them, and stand behind them.
Clean, documented work
Every installation is wired to a professional standard and documented with a full wiring diagram. You leave knowing exactly what's in your rig and why.
A clear timeline
Our installations take 5 to 8 days. You'll know your drop-off date, your pickup window, and every step in between before you commit to anything.
Built by people who get it
Our installation team lives and breathes off-grid travel. They build these systems because they rely on them — which means every install is done the way they'd want their own done.

FAQ
Services & Scope
What types of electrical installations do you offer for campers and RVs?
−We install complete off-grid electrical systems in RVs, camper vans, motorhomes, travel trailers, truck campers, and any rig ready to cruise down the road. We install EXPLORIST.life systems and build them to fit each customer's power needs, budget, and travel style. Services include solar panel and charge controller installation, lithium battery setups, inverter/inverter-charger installation, battery bank setup and upgrades, DC-to-DC alternator charging, battery monitoring systems, and Skoolie electrical systems.
What brands or components do you use?
+We install all products sold on EXPLORIST.life. Our primary brand is Victron Energy, and we also install REDARC and Sterling products. If you're looking to incorporate components that aren't available on our site, mention them when reaching out for a quote and our team will let you know whether we're able to work with them.
Can I purchase my own batteries for installation?
+Yes, we can connect any high-quality, reliable lithium battery to the system. However, we only warranty our wiring, not the batteries — check with your battery manufacturer regarding their warranty policies. Shop the batteries we offer here.
Cost
How much does an installation cost?
+Full pricing by vehicle and build type is above — labor typically ranges from $4,000 to $7,000 plus materials, with a complete system fully installed ranging from about $10,000 to $26,500. Systems outside our pre-designed kits may incur additional hourly design and installation fees.
The Process
What should I do to prepare for my camper electrical installation?
+Book your appointment, review your quote, make your 50% deposit, then start planning your trip to Redmond. We provide all installation customers with a travel guide covering recommended places to stay, things to do, and places to explore while we work on your camper. Our shop is conveniently located near the Redmond Airport, so flying in and renting a car is a great option too.
Can I stay in my RV while it's being worked on?
+No, we do not allow customers to stay in their RV while work is being done. Upon booking, we'll provide a list of recommended places to stay in the area — Redmond, Bend, Sisters, and the surrounding Central Oregon area have a wide range of Airbnb rentals and accommodations to suit every budget and travel style.
What happens if my installation takes longer than expected?
+We do our best to stay on track with our expected completion date, though unforeseen issues can arise. If we identify anything that will delay your pick-up, we'll communicate as soon as possible and outline the additional time needed so you can adjust your plans accordingly.
Do I need to have my system designed before booking, or do you help with that?
+No prior design work is needed! We identify your system layout as part of the quoting and project outline process when you book. All installation customers complete an intake form where you can share your power needs and flag any specific products or features you'd like included in your build.
Existing Systems & Troubleshooting
I've already purchased components — will you install them?
+If you've purchased products from the EXPLORIST.life shop, we can definitely install those. For components purchased elsewhere, we'll need a full list — including make and model of each item — upon scheduling so we can review the products prior to accepting the installation. We only install products we know to be safe and reliable.
Can I add on to an existing system rather than install a new one?
+Yes! We offer services to upgrade an existing system. For all existing system upgrades, we include a full system check before beginning work, so we're not installing new components into anything that could cause issues down the road.
Do you offer troubleshooting or emergency repairs?
+Yes, we offer troubleshooting appointments if your system isn't working properly. We diagnose and troubleshoot:
We work on systems you've inherited, systems installed by another installer, and systems you've installed yourself.
Trust
What warranty comes with my installation?
+The components we install are covered under their respective manufacturer warranties, and we support warranty claims for any products we directly sold you for your installation.
Why do people travel to Oregon for RV electrical installation?
+While we're located in Redmond, OR, we serve customers from all over the United States — California, Texas, Florida, Washington, and beyond — for high-quality, professional installations specializing in off-grid solar and advanced camper electrical setups. Since we're so close to Bend, Oregon, many customers turn their installation visit into a mini-vacation.
