No. If you've purchased your electrical system from another party or are following a non-EXPLORIST.life wiring diagram, please reach out to that source — we can't vouch for designs we haven't personally tried.
No. Our existing diagrams meet the needs of 97% of the people we work with. If your needs require an alteration, we can point you in the right direction, but building a custom diagram is outside the scope of this service.
Yes — as long as it's based on an EXPLORIST.life system design. We can help with minor personalized changes, but if you've made your own diagram based on a mismatch of sources — EXPLORIST.life, Will Prowse, Far Out Ride, and wherever else — we won't be able to provide support.
Yes, we can answer your questions about tiny house electrical systems. Advice on residential building codes, permitting, etc. is outside what we can offer.
No. This consultation is for electrical systems only — we're not able to cover other parts of a DIY camper build, like carpentry, plumbing, or interior layout, during your session.
Limited email support is available afterward for what was covered on your call (links, shared carts, etc.). It's not intended to extend the session — if you need more, you can book a second consult.
We take pride in our expertise in off-grid power systems, but it's crucial to understand that we may not be familiar with the wiring nuances of every boat brand. While many boats share common wiring practices, others can be quite different and may require specific knowledge we can't provide.
Our expertise: though we may not know your vessel's specific wiring, we excel in designing and supporting off-grid power systems. Our aim during your consultation is to address your questions and help steer you toward a solution that fits your needs.
How you can help us: to get the most out of your consultation, come with a numbered list of specific questions about your marine power system. Clear, focused questions get you more accurate advice — for example, "I have room for 12 of these solar panels and flexible options between a 12V or 24V battery bank; I want to know my options for wiring these panels to charge my bank" is a lot more useful to us than "How do I upgrade solar on my boat?"
For questions specific to your boat's wiring, we recommend contacting your boat's manufacturer directly.
Consultations are held on Google Meet. Your confirmation email and reminders include your Google Meet join link — you will not receive a traditional phone call.
Log in a few minutes early to make sure your video and audio are working. Meeting time won't be extended for technical issues on your end.

Payment is due 24 hours before your consultation. If it isn't paid by then, your appointment will be canceled.
You'll get reminder emails 1 week before and 24 hours before your call.
If you need to cancel your Virtual Consultation, please contact us at [email protected] at least 24 hours before your scheduled time. We'll process a refund of your payment, less a 4% processing fee.
You can reschedule using the link in your confirmation email, up to 24 hours before your scheduled time. Rescheduled consultations must take place within 6 months of your original booking date.
Cancellations or reschedules made with less than 24 hours' notice are subject to a $100 fee.
If you don't join within the first 10 minutes of your scheduled call, it will be considered a no-show. Your payment will be refunded, less a $50 no-show fee.
Our consultations cover electrical systems based on EXPLORIST.life designs and products. If your consultant determines that your questions fall outside the scope of our services, the consultation will be canceled and refunded, less a $50 cancellation fee.
If your consultation isn't scheduled or rescheduled within 6 months and we haven't heard from you, your reservation will be canceled and refunded, less a 4% processing fee. If you've been in touch and need more time, just let us know and we'll extend your reservation.
